Below is a video of the Delta's Reciprocating Heat Seal Bead. The seal bed module is used to seal or fuse products together using heated plates and pressurized clamping. The seal bed uses servomotors to provide horizontal motion and vertical clamping that is timed to match the web speed. The seal plate assembly is also equipped with pneumatic pads that allow for adjustment in clamping pressure. The seal plates are heated using thermocouple control that can be adjusted on the machine HMI. Seal plates can be easily removed and replaced for changes in product setup. This module is standard on the Delta Mod-Tech® Packager.
