Delta Industrial was excited to be a part of the first Digital Label Summit, held in Barcelona on March 24-25. The 2-day conference program attracted 274 delegates from Europe and the surrounding areas. The program featured a wide range of presentations from label converters, brand owners and industry suppliers. Attendees learned about combining digital and conventional printing, brand protection and end user requirements. There were also many opportunities to attend technical sessions about finishing and substrates.
A number of panel discussions ran throughout the conference, promoting debates on a variety of topics. Joel Oakes, a Senior Design Engineer from Delta, participated in the panel discussions. Delta presented solutions for label finishing consisting of digital printing, coating, laminating, semi-rotary die cutting, digital laser die cutting and RFID insertion. Discussions also included the use of inspection systems such as camera’s and bar code scanners used for inspection and validation when producing labels for the pharmaceutical industry.
