Dunwoody College of Technology

For more than 30 years Delta Industrial has been a leader in web converting, finishing and packaging innovation. Based on flexible Delta Mod-Tech® modular technology, each system is custom designed to meet the customer’s exact specifications. Delta is dedicated to providing precise, flexible and innovative manufacturing solutions worldwide. In addition, Delta is dedicated to exceptional training and service, which is why Delta has partnered with Dunwoody College of Technology.

Dunwoody teaches problem solving and critical thinking along with practical, real-world skills that are much sought after by business and industry. It’s a rigorous style of hands-on, applied learning that places great demands on students and requires discipline and personal responsibility. It also fosters such values as work ethic, teamwork and punctuality. The partnership of Delta and Dunwoody will give manufacturers in this industry a resource for finding top quality employees.

Delta systems, when properly operated, can provide huge savings in both time and material. Many custom systems have been installed in medical, pharmaceutical, label, security and personal care manufacturing plants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Job opportunities in this growing industry are plentiful which is why Delta and Dunwoody’s Design & Graphics Technology Department decided this would be a great time to unveil this new Specialty Converting Curriculum.

Delta delivered a fully functional Delta Crusader® converting system to the College in September 2011, this system is being loaned to them to use for this program. “The students are excited about this new opportunity and amazed at the manufacturing capabilities” said Dunwoody Instructor Shawn Oetjen, “they are especially eager to learn more about the new job possibilities”.
