Rotary Die Cutting Modules The rotary die cutting module, commonly referred to as a die station, is the cornerstone of our converting systems. Each rotary die station can be used for die cutting, nipping, laminating, punching, embossing, slitting or sheeting by simply changing the tool roll. |
Unwind & Rewind ModulesThe unwind and rewind modules can handle the unwinding of full rolls of web, as well as the rewinding of waste web, liners, or finished product. Each unwind/rewind module is controlled by an independent servomotor and drive. Optional features include dancer arm tension control, transducer/load cell tension control, accumulators, auto splice mechanisms, and edge guide steering control. |
Servo Controls Each process on a Delta Industrial Rotary Converter is individually controlled and programmable via servomotors and drives using the machine Human Machine Interface (HMI). |
Conveyors Spreading conveyors, shingling conveyors, reject conveyors, and Bullnose conveyors are just a few of the conveying solutions offered by Delta Industrial. Our conveyors are servo controlled and can be customized for your product needs. |
HMI – Human Machine Interface The HMI touch screen is used to setup, monitor, and run the machine. The touch screen features a graphic representation of the machine, allowing access to each module by simply touching the screen. The HMI also includes alarm monitoring, batch counters, user security settings, setup file loading/saving/backup, and help screens. Some optional HMI additions include CFR 21 Part 11 database, Vision Inspections, and integration with other system controls. |
Semi Rotary Die CuttingThe semi rotary die cut module uses a magnetic die that allows for quick changeover, tooling is simply pulled off and replaced, avoiding the time and expense of die tooling changes. This module uses our auto-home registration and web accumulator to provide continuous cutting, virtually eliminating wasted material. This module is standard on the Spectrum™ Finishing System. |

Island Placement Island placement, sometimes referred to as pick and place, is the process of combining two webs together each having a different line speed and part repeat length. This process allows production of a final product with little waste, which is why island placement modules are typically used for high value products and materials. Like our Die Stations, the island placement module uses independent servomotors and drives and allows for multi-station placement capability. |
Reciprocating Sealbed The seal bed module is used to seal or fuse products together using heated plates and pressurized clamping. The seal bed uses servomotors to provide horizontal motion and vertical clamping that is timed to match the web speed. The seal plate assembly is also equipped with pneumatic pads that allow for adjustment in clamping pressure. The seal plates are heated using thermocouple control that can be adjusted on the machine HMI. Seal plates can be easily removed and replaced for changes in product setup. This module is standard on the Delta Mod-Tech® Packager. |
Flexographic Printer The flexographic printer is a rotary print module that allows multi-station print capability and uses a mat roller to print markings on the web. The printer’s telescoping cartridge allows for easy changeover of rollers, ink pans and doctor blades. The printer is adaptable for enclosed doctor blade and the roller provides continuous ink agitation to prevent drying prior to application. This module is standard on the Spectrum™ Finishing System. |
